5 Stars all the way for Great Scott - after searching for a local engineer, we did the obligatory Google Review looking for a reliable engineer.Made an initial enquiry, Scott got back to us within an hour. We required an additional radiator for our kitchen extension and had an issue with radiators in various parts of the house not heating up and not heating up equally on other radiators.We booked a slot, which worked for us and mutually convenient. Prompt & punctual. Obviously a busy time of year with people having heating issues approaching winter, but he said he’d be over as soon as.The heating issue was not a quick fix, but was confidently diagnosed. Scott went each room and bled all the rads and tried to balance as a starting point - out heating was not playing ball. Our house is over three floors.So, we planned another visit - new radiator went on in no time at all.Magna clean removed and cleaned. It was explained that a power flush may sort the issue, but would be more costly, so he went “old school” The main issue was the rads on the first & top floor not heating up properly.Scott quickly removed the rads on both floors, put them in the garden and connected a hose to blow out any sludge that may have been in the rads.There was sludge, not massive amounts, but a good diagnosis. Rads back on, then went back to re balance all the rads in the house. He probably got his 12k steps in for the day with all the stairs and running about.The house was left clean, tidy and you’d not known we’d had an engineer in who’d pulled up carpets and moved furniture other than when he left the house was a lot warmer on every floor.Absolutely no issue recommending Great Scott for plumbing & heating.We are planning a new boiler in the near future and possible upgrades, our first call will be to Great Scott - it would have been easy for an engineer to have come in and told us “we need to power flush the system” charged us an unnecessary fortune.Instead his knowledge, honesty and integrity showed his high level of professionalism and by far proved what is really important - an honest local traders person.A very friendly bloke who just got on with the job in a friendly manner.Appreciated.

We woke up to a leak through the ceiling and our bathroom light fitting. It was a stressful day as we’d only brought our newborn home from hospital a few days before! Scott was amazing and got out to see us straight away, and did an amazing job. Couldn’t recommend Scott more highly, amazing communication, great service. Thank you so much!

Excellent service from start to finish. The price was reasonable and the boiler installation was completed to an exceptionally high standard. The workmanship was first-class, everything was carried out professionally, and great care was taken throughout the job including correcting work done by the previous installer. I’m extremely pleased with the result and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Scott.

I absolutely cannot fault the service provided. Came and looked at our dead boiler (rip) and because he was fully booked came and fitted the new one on a sunday....after a party the night before. (#not all heroes wear capes) worked very efficiently and from strip out to completion was just over six hours. Brilliant. My only criticism is, constantly left front door open for long periods so we really had to keep an eye on our dog. A small price to pay for having hot water again.

Scott was recommended to me by a friend, and I’m so glad I contacted him. He responded promptly, quickly identified the problem with my downstairs toilet, and fixed it efficiently. He also repaired the flush on my upstairs toilet during the same visit.What really stood out was how knowledgeable and helpful he was. He took the time to explain another structural issue that will need attention in the future and gave me honest, practical advice without any pressure.Professional, reliable, friendly, and clearly takes pride in his work. Scott was recommended by a friend and the service he gave us was exceptional. He kept us informed of his time of arrival and upon arrival, worked efficiently and fixed my leaking washing pipes by not only replacing them but also suggesting a better layout for more efficient drainage. He replaced my upstairs shower and nothing was too much trouble . Scott left all work areas tidy and clean . It was a pleasure to meet Scott and to find a skilled tradesperson who arrived when he said he would, was polite and friendly and who is clearly passionate about providing a good service . I would have no hesitation in recommending Scott and would always use him again in the future should the need arise .

I would not hesitate to recommend Scott. His professionalism and attention to detail is second to none. On top of that he is someone who cares about what his customer wants and takes great pride in his workmanship. He recently renovated our bathroom and right from the start impressed me with his knowledge and design skills, whilst also giving excellent practical advice. Until now, I did not understand the beauty of grouting aligning from wall to floor! Scott is a perfectionist in all he does, and he went above and beyond to create exactly what I wanted and more. Friends and family have all been super complimentary; remarking on the transformation from outdated and ugly, to a now sleek and classy space; perfection! I’ve never come across anyone who puts so much time and effort in to his work! If you want the best; Scott will not disappoint. He is simply the best!

Scott came to the rescue at Christmas time when my Vaillant broke down. His excellence, hard work, reliability and responsiveness were very much appreciated. Absolutely excellent service all round. He has just returned (July) to fix a different appliance for me, which he again did brilliantly, fitting me in after a long day's work. I had been away and my car battery had also gone flat and Scott didn't hesitate to give me a jump start and then tried hard to refuse payment for that! He is truly great.

I would 100% recommend! Scott has done an amazing job on our house renovation. We had someone do a few repairs for us when we first moved in, but always had problems with heating and hot water. Then Great Scott was someone we always saw locally around too and he helped us with planning layouts when we asked him in for our renovation. Was always first on site and last off too. The working hours that he puts into his work is exceptionalAll in all, great price for excellent work.I have added the En Suite he did for us which was a small space and work amazingly for us.

Scott is honest, no BS and so committed to providing the best service possible.Look at the photo. He basically (nothing basic in fact!) investigated, rerouted the pipework and chased it into the wall of our kitchen. He's done that on the entire ground floor.He's not super keen on dogs and yet would politely keep it to himself and get on with the job. So if you have one, just go for a walk or something.Overall we were well impressed and happy with his work, the details he goes into and how clean he left the place at the end.One of the best tradesmen we've hired.

I was recommended to Scott at Great Scott Plumbing & Heating by a friend. Before getting in touch, I spent a bit of time looking through his work online and noticed that while all of his installations looked good, every now and then there would be one that was on a completely different level.When Scott came round to quote, I asked him about some of those standout jobs and told him that if he had any ideas for this one, he had free rein to do whatever he thought would work best. You could almost see the cogs turning as he looked around the room.The finished result has completely blown me away. The attention to detail is incredible and the workmanship speaks for itself. Every part of the installation has been carefully thought through, and it’s obvious that a huge amount of pride has gone into creating something that not only works perfectly but also looks fantastic.Most people would never expect a boiler installation to become a feature of a room, but somehow Scott has managed it. Anyone can fit a boiler, but not everyone is prepared to put this level of care and craftsmanship into their work.I’m absolutely delighted with the end result and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Great Scott Plumbing & Heating to anyone looking for quality workmanship and someone who genuinely takes pride in what they do.

Scott has been our plumber and heating engineer for the last 4 years. He installed a new boiler when we first moved into our house and carried out the annual services, has always been on hand to have a quick look at any issue. He most recently helped us to fix and retile our nightmare of a bathroom after a complete bodge job by bathroom installers. Would definitely recommend!

We've worked with Scott a few times now and every job that he has done has been to such a high standard. He has a real focus on the details and makes sure that things are done right, not just finished. Amazing communication skills and expectations management. Hard to get time in his diary but that's just because he's in demand!
